Davis® Mastery for Attention Program
If your child struggles to sit still, stay focused, follow through, or manage emotions, you may feel exhausted, confused, or even discouraged. You may have heard words like ADHD, attention challenges, or behavior issues. But what if your child’s attention differences are not a defect — but a powerful mind that simply needs the right tools?

The Davis® Mastery for Attention Program is designed to help children and teens develop focus, self-control, organization, and emotional regulation — by teaching them how to understand and manage their own attention. This program is not about punishment, pressure, or forcing compliance.
It’s about empowering the learner.

A Different Way to Understand Attention Challenges
Many individuals who struggle with attention are highly creative, intuitive, energetic, and imaginative. They often think quickly, notice details others miss, and have big ideas — but they may struggle with:

-
Staying on task
-
Controlling impulses
-
Managing frustration
-
Following multi-step directions
-
Organizing materials or time
-
Completing work independently

The Davis® approach recognizes that attention challenges often stem from difficulty with self-regulation and life concepts, not from laziness or lack of intelligence.
Instead of simply trying to “make a child behave,” this program teaches them how to:

-
Recognize what is happening internally
-
Regain control of their focus
-
Understand abstract concepts like time and order
-
Make intentional choices

This builds lasting change from the inside out.

Key Components of the Program
Orientation Tools
Learners are taught simple mental techniques that help them become more present, centered, and aware.
When children can regulate their mental state, they are better able to focus, listen, and make thoughtful decisions.

Life Concepts Mastery
One of the most powerful parts of the program is helping learners truly understand important life concepts like change, consequence, cause and effect, time, and order. For many attention-challenged children, these ideas feel unclear or abstract. Through gentle, hands-on activities, we help them make these concepts real and meaningful. When understanding clicks, behavior often improves naturally — not because they are being forced, but because they finally understand how their choices connect to outcomes.

Self-Regulation Skills
Students learn to recognize when they are becoming distracted, overwhelmed, or impulsive — and how to bring themselves back into balance. This builds internal control rather than reliance on constant reminders from adults.

What Makes This Program Unique

-
Focuses on internal control, not external discipline
-
Teaches life concepts many children never fully understand
-
Strengths-based rather than behavior-focused
-
Hands-on and engaging
-
Individualized to the learner
-
Builds responsibility and maturity
-
Aims for long-term change, not short-term compliance
What Families Often Notice
Parents often share that they begin to see a real shift in their child — calmer behavior, more thoughtful responses instead of quick reactions, and a growing sense of responsibility. Directions are followed more consistently, emotional outbursts become less frequent, and consequences make more sense to them. Perhaps most meaningful of all, children begin to see themselves differently — as capable, in control, and confident in their ability to make good choices.

Program Format
The Davis® Mastery for Attention Program is typically delivered in an intensive, one-on-one format over several days, usually 30 hours.

Looking Forward with Confidence
With the right support and tools, children with attention challenges can become responsible, focused, creative, and capable individuals. The Davis® Mastery for Attention Program is designed to help them do exactly that — while building their confidence and honoring their strengths.
